It is the ultimate honor when a wedding industry professional trusts you to work her own wedding. Bride McKayla actually works for The Cordelle, where she held her Fall 2021 wedding, so she knows her stuff! I was able to step in and help with the floral arrangements and coordination.
For this wedding we focused on a sleek, modern, and minimal design. Bouquets were made with pure white roses, ranunculus, stock, and iris.
And her gown! Wow! It is the epitome of a classy design, with long sleeves and a cape style veil, McKayla looks like a modern day princess. (I feel cheesy as I write that line, but I’m not exaggerating. You know princesses always wear long-sleeved bridal gowns. It’s princess rule 101).
Inside we kept the clean look with bud vases of white flowers, gray taper candles, string lights, and a custom monogram.
One of the perks of a wedding at The Cordelle is that they offer string lights on the patio. A relatively cost-effective decor choice is to add greenery to the lights, which I have to say looks stunning and provides a little something extra to cocktail hour.
We got lucky with perfect fall weather and a tree on the property was a lovely shade of orange and losing its leaves. Photographer Kendall captured so many amazing fall shots, I wish I could share them all.
The Cordelle offers a nice getting ready space, and you can use the room for some private photos, as well.
I had a blast working on McKayla’s wedding this Fall, and I’m so excited to report that I get to work on her sister’s wedding this summer!
Thank you to all the vendors that helped to make this day a success for McKayla and Sebastian!
