It’s a historic barn located across 200 acres, and an idyllic wedding venue where stories unfold in a private setting. The pastoral setting features a wide open expanse, rolling hills, and an array of seemingly evergreen trees that comprise the vast meadows. The blissful wedding venue is ideally situated and best for couples who wish to plan a wedding that evokes the intimate feeling of getting married on a family farm.

For Loren and Ben, Southall Meadows in Franklin, TN, was a venue where they could gather with those they cherish the most to celebrate their journey. Featured on Wed Society, each element of their Southall Meadows wedding was curated with the intention of embracing an all-encompassing guest experience.

When guests made the short walk from Loren and Ben’s wedding ceremony in the lofty meadow to their reception space, they were immediately greeted by a watercolor artist who live-painted portraits throughout the evening. Escorting guests to their seats was yet another immersive touchpoint. Escort cards, placed in a revolving rack, came with a fun, surprising twist. Names and table numbers were emblazoned on an envelope with a puzzle waiting inside for each attendee.

Before finding their seats, a white British-style phone booth, custom-made by Ben’s father, allowed guests to pop in for a photo opportunity or to leave a message for the newlyweds. Loren and Ben opted for a modern version of a wedding guestbook and chose an audiobook in the form of a vintage rotary phone. Guests left voice messages for the couple, sharing well-wishes and words of love.

The well-planned, personalized details waiting outside Southall wedding venue were just the beginning of Loren and Ben’s reception. Once inside, whimsically colored florals, custom linens, and candy colored stemware tied together their wedding day experience. Floral-patterned linens in hues of soft candy pink were courtesy of Loren’s mom, who hand-made each of the linens to add a one-of-a-kind touch, filled with love, to her daughter’s wedding day.

Carefully set atop the stunning table linens was gold flatware paired with vintage-style drinking goblets. Each guest’s place setting included a menu for the evening, setting the tone for the dining experience ahead. Accenting the food and beverage service as guests dined were beautiful floral arrangements in an array of colors. The hues of the florals were chosen in accordance with the season, adding an air of charm to the summer fête. Finally, tying together the chic setting were bud vases filled with individual stems accented by colorful tapers in hurricane votives.

When Loren and Ben were ready to take to the dance floor for the evening, they donned wearable props that brought a characteristic energy to the sound of their favorite beats. When everyone needed to cool off, chilled treats were served from a gelato cart, another creation that was custom-made by the groom’s father.
