What can I say about the joys of working with Laura & Reed on their wedding? They are both so kind and loving, every meeting with them was something that I looked forward to and enjoyed. When it came down to the wedding day, it was bittersweet because although we were all over-the-moon to see our hard work come together, it was also hard to say goodbye.
Laura & Reed chose to do the full wedding planning package, which means that we had about 18 months to work together and I was able to help with every step of the planning process.
The first thing that guests see of your wedding is the invitation, and that sets the tone for the entire event. Can you tell from these invites that this wedding is going to be a gorgeous blend of modern elegance?!?
We decided on Acme Seed & Feed for the wedding. Some of the many pros of booking this venue are the rooftop bar that can be used for cocktail hour, the sweet photo locations, and the amazing on-site catering. But because this venue is also a restaurant, they don’t have a great getting-ready space. So Laura & Reed chose to get ready at an Airbnb nearby and do pre-wedding photos at a local park.
From there, a trolly took them to Acme for the ceremony. Nashville Lighting & Production did yet another amazing install of string lights and a chandelier over the ceremony space. I then came in and lined the aisle with greenery and candles for the ultimate effect of a very soft, romantic ceremony. Live musicians added the perfect touch to this moment!
After the ceremony, guests headed up to the rooftop bar while the planning & catering team flipped the room for the reception. Laura & Reed were able to sneak outside for some super-cute downtown photos.
And now it’s time for the reception reveal! I can’t just share one photo here – they’re all so gorgeous!
For flowers, Laura requested simple white flowers with dark greenery. We went with roses, ranunculus, stock, veronica, Italian ruscus, and smilax.
Showing the space to my bride & groom is one of my favorite moments of the wedding day. They get a moment of quiet in the space to just explore and see how the work of the past year has come together. Thankfully, they loved it!
And a few more photos. How cool is it to have your cake cutting with the Pedestrian Bridge in the background?
