Emerald Green Art Deco Wedding at Nashville’s Saint Elle

Lacey & Greg’s wedding at Saint Elle was a true Nashville Destination Wedding, as guests came from all over the world, with the bride and groom residing in London, England! Yes, I was a little bit jealous, but mostly just so excited that they chose Nashville as a central location for all of their friends and family to get together and celebrate this wonderful couple.

Let’s go through the elements of this wedding that were not only important to the couple, but made the event what it was: a reflection of them and their love.

Great photos

Lacey’s bouquet was a simple white and green design filled with roses, ranunculus, veronica, stock, and Italian ruscus greenery.

While Saint Elle offers an amazing getting ready area, Lacey opted to get ready off site and then travel around Nashville for photos. War Memorial ended up being a great site for a modern take on outdoor photos. And how cute is this trolley that provided transport to the bridal party all day?

Moody Art Deco Design

Since Lacey was only able to travel to Nashville intermittently for wedding planning, we did a lot of the design work online. For me, this involved creating a virtual mood board, then visiting the show room at Please Be Seated to take lots of photos of sample tables to help Lacey make her final decisions.

We ended up selecting these dark green velvet linens, black chairs, and gold-rimmed plates from Please Be Seated. Then I came in and accented the design with white flowers and a mix of black pillar candles and gold tapers. Saint Elle is a quite a large space, so we divided the room with draping by Quest Events.

A Cake that Tastes as Good as it Looks

Another show-stopper is this cake from Nashville Sweets. If you’re like me and tired of the same old plain cake with flowers on top, then this kind of cake is for you! It was a great way to incorporate our green and gold art deco design.

A Band that Sets up for a Night of Dancing

Lacey is a phenomenal dancer, so a good band was a must-have for her. Emerald Empire Band was a great choice because they were able to send someone to coordinate pre-recorded music for the ceremony and cocktail hour, then the full band took over for a reception full of dancing.

If dancing is important to you, then it’s a great idea to speak to your bridal seamstress about a bustle that will twirl beautifully.

If I’m being honest, Lacey’s emerald green shoes were my favorite part of the wedding.

Personal Touches

All of this came together to create the most gorgeous of art deco weddings. But my favorite part of the whole thing?!? — these emerald shoes!! They’re like the Emerald City version of the Ruby slippers and if I had any reason to wear something like this they would be first on my shopping list.

As always, our vendor team is an essential part of the success of a wedding day. We must all work together to pull off an event of this magnitude, and I am forever grateful to the vendors who made Lacey and Greg’s wedding an event to remember forever.
